 Fat Dissolving Injections

Innovative fat burning therapy based on lipolysis that is simple and effective at diminishing cellulite and excess weight.

Fat dissolving is minimally invasive and painless. It dissolves fat deposits or lipomas (fatty tissue formations that develop under the skin). With the help of lipolysis, even small fat deposits that cannot be eliminated through sports or diet can be eliminated.

  • Targeted fat loss
  • Improved cellulite

We use Lipolax, Lipolax VL and Lemonbottle fat dissolving in our Weybridge and London Clinics. We have trialled many products and find these the most effective.

Fat dissolving  application procedure

The procedure consists of the following steps:

  1. Preliminary treatment of the skin with alcohol lotion or chlorhexidine

  2. Introduction of the drug into the area of the body where it is necessary to activate lipolysis

  3. Final treatment of the skin with antiseptic

After your appointment.

Lipolytic mesotherapy does not require recovery time.

After treatment, redness and a burning sensation that does not last more than 12-24 hours may occur although this is unlikely.

After just one session of lipolytic mesotherapy with fat dissolving, you can get rid of unwanted local fatty deposits, cellulite and flabby skin. After the third session, you will notice that the injection areas have decreased, local accumulations of adipose tissue in problem areas (“ears” on the thighs, sides, second chin, etc.) have disappeared and the skin in the treated areas has become smoother and elastic.

We recommend a course of 2- 5 depending on the individual and product used.

Safety is our middle name.

  1. When introduced into the subcutaneous tissue, the solution increases the osmotic pressure within the cells and splits the fat into its components, which causes the cell membrane to rupture;

  2. The cleavage products of the adipocyte enter the lymph flow and blood via the damaged membrane and are excreted by the kidneys and liver.

Our safety practises ensure we have minimal risks and complications.

  • After treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or itching in the in the treated area. This is a normal result of the product – the inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a day or two although you may not get any. Small lumps may also occur and will go over a few days.
  • The area can remain tender to touch several weeks after the treatment. Paracetamol or Codeine can be taken, but avoid anti-inflammatory pain killers such as Ibuprofen.
  • You may apply an ice pack to the treated area to reduce the initial swelling. Massaging Arnica gel into the treated area 3-4 time a day can also help with bruising and swelling.
  • Following the procedure, a gradual reduction in the thickness of the fat layer will take place. You may start to see changes as early as two to three weeks.
