What can Microneedling treat
Microneedling provides targeted revitalisation and collagen back into the skin, reducing wrinkles, pigmentation, texture and scarring. Also known as Collagen induction therapy, a treatment that is designed to promote skin rejuvenation. Our device uses between 6-24 super-tiny needles, which can be adjusted for your specific skin needs between 0.25 and 2.5 millimeters. The smallest setting â 0.25 millimeters â penetrates the stratum cornea, or the superficial layer of skin. These micro punctures trigger the healing response in the skin collagen and thickening the skin, so instead of looking good for a few days after your traditional facial, your skin is smooth and radiant for much longer.
How does Microneedling Work
Microneedling involves using a handheld device to create hundreds of microscopic needle impressions in the skin on the face or body. As the treatment pen is passed over the face, it creates microinjuries and prompts the derma, a deeper layer of skin, to mount a healing response, delivering a natural collagen boost. The tiny channels in the skin made by the needles also allows for deeper absorption of topical treatments after treatment.
How many Sessions Needed
This will be dependent on individual needs and / or the severity of the conditions. we recommend three to six treatments spaced out every two to six weeks to see full results. The exact number of treatments and the time between them will vary by type, skin concern and how your skin responds to the treatment. Your needs and objectives will be discussed during your consultation and registration. An appropriate treatment plan will be developed and agreed with you and your plan will be monitored and adjusted in line with your progress. Once your treatment cycle has concluded, periodic treatments may be encouraged going forward.
