A PDO thread procedure can take from 45 minutes to up to 2 hours for a full face including time for consultation & planning. We advise clients to have a light meal & refrain from drinking alcohol the night before. We also suggest no aspirin, vitamin C or blood thinners for 1 week before. The procedure is relatively pain free. We use a local anaesthetic lidocaine to numb the face & the lidocaine injections are the only uncomfortable part. They mildly sting but are rather quick. It takes about 30- 60 seconds to numb each side of the face. During the procedure my clients are talking, smiling & relaxed and always surprised at how little they feel. You will occasionally see some mild swelling & bruising on some clients ( this tends to be on extremely fair patients or those over 60) but this resolves fairly quickly & all clients receive an aftercare pack to speed up the healing process.
